Thank You!!!

Dear friends,

while our Tunisian and Egyptian brothers are fighting for their freedom and against their dictatorial regimes, the world looks away from what is happening in Palestine. As so many times in the past, the Israeli military is taking advantage and escalates their violence against us, while nobody is watching.

All the more I am so grateful my friends from the whole world, to know that you all still watch and care about us. That you haven’t forgotten us. Your messages of support help me to remain strong and steadfast.

Now, a friend and supporter and musician from Thailand, has dedicated a song to our cause and to me and my father, and to all the oppressed people in the world who are fighting the just fight for peace and freedom. Please watch his wonderful video on youtube and listen to his song.

Thank you Hamed! Your song and your dedication means so much for us!! Its gives us strength and courage. Thank you all, my friends, for your support!!

*You can read the dedication either while watching it on the Youtube-page:, or towards the end of the video.

About Saeed Amireh

My name is Saeed Ibrahim Amireh, I am 18 years old and I have been born and raised in Ni'lin, in the Westbank. During the summertime, I love to sleep on the rooftop of our house. When I see the beautiful stars, I dream to travel to far away places and meet people from all over the world. I can see the Mediterranean Sea from our roof. Often, I imagine what it is like to be at the beach and see the sun go down. I have never been to the sea because Israel does not allow us to go there. One week before the final exams in 12th grade, Israeli soldiers raided our house in the middle of the night, locked the whole family but me in a room, beat me, destroyed my room and arrested me. I was in jail for 4 months. They kept me in a small cell in complete darkness, with mice and cockroaches everywhere. They beat, threatened, and interrogated me constantly. To this date I know nothing about why they even arrested me, other than to punish my father for his non-violent activity in the "Popoular Committee Against The Wall". I've always dreamt to study and become a communication engineer. But since my father is in jail, me and my older brother have to work and take care of our mother and our small siblings. I miss my father so much, I would give anything for him to be free. But I am not even allowed to go and visit him in jail. Only my mother is allowed; she could go visit him for the first time after he was imprisoned for 4 months. Like all the villagers of Ni'lin, I wish I could taste the flavour of freedom just once.

Dear Saeed – Stay strong. One day this nightmare will come to an end and the people of Ni’lin and all of Palestine will be free. Oppression cannot last forever.

You are NOT alone or forgotten! I will never let the Palestinian cause die!
I am fighting from over the wall to let the truth be known. Don’t despair!
Your turn for freedom is near at hand. If Mubarak can fall, so can Netanyahu
and all his henchmen – and he knows it. Hold on, hold on, hold on freedom and
    justice is almost here.

Israel has no consience – they are the biggest cowards and rely on super powers for their power. Their time has come to an end and they will have to pay for their sins against humanity and all that is just and right.

I’m sure you and your sisters and brothers can almost taste freedom yet must choke it back and WAIT some more – But when you are free – you will be free and you will so many homes to call your own. I love you and all the people of Paletine for their dignity and patience rxxx

    Hi Saeed,
I just read your comments on the Palestine Papers in IMEU. There can be no real peace negotiations while the Israeli army is waging war on the Palestinian population. My hope is that people rethink their support for Israel when they see that Israel does not want the fall of the tyrant Mubarak. Life is difficult for you, especially when we see how the Israeli army and the settlers target villages who resist and young people who are the future. Take care!

  6. Dear Saeed … We can see the same stars that you see, and we share the same dreams of justice and freedom for all oppressed people. You’re not forgotten … no Palestinians are forgotten. I agree with Diane Conti that freedom is on its way to you. History has shown that occupations don’t last. Events in Egypt will reflect directly on Palestinians. America … again … has revealed itself to be a supporter of ruthless tyrants and dictators AND oppressive states such as Israel … and, again, America is humiliated as its secretive schemes are revealed … that it is more concerned with its own business and power interests than it is with human lives. It’s the young, courageous people like yourself who will usher in the era of justice for all. We join you in speaking truth to power. You have our support. No justice – No peace.
